This is a Review course on the basic mathematics of Linear Algebra and Random Variables and Processes. You have learnt these subjects in your undergraduate studies. But for your research oriented post-graduate studies you need to go deeper in these two topics. SC532 fulfils this role by adding  depth and breadth.

By completing this course on applied mathematics, you will be able to understand research papers published in good journals and conference proceeding on a wide variety of topics in Electronics and Computer Engineering and Information Technology, such as image processing, machine learning, big data, wireless sensor networks, 5G communications, etc. You will also obtain the skills of using software packages such as GNU Octave (MATLAB), R, LibreOffice Calc (Microsoft Excel) for computations. Team work will be essential and you will develop that skill too through Team Projects and Collaborative Learning.
